DIFFICULTIES IN EDUCATION OF YOUTH AND ADULTS (EJA) DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: ADVERSITIES OF REMOTE EDUCATION
Abstract
ABSTRACT:
The immediate transition from face-to-face to remote teaching, imposed by social isolation resulting from the SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic, challenged further the teaching modalities of Brazilian education, especially the Youth and Adult Education (EJA), which requires an interaction, dialogue and exchange of experiences between teachers and students. From the most varied challenges, the article addresses the effects of the health crisis, in the lives of working students, in the teaching and learning process in the EJA modality at the State School Deputado Fernando Cláudio Capiberibe Saldanha, in Ponta Porã/MS. Through a bibliographic and qualitative research, the results evidenced that access to information technology; digital literacy and the need for teacher assistance are among the main challenges. In Ponta Porã, both teachers and students made evident the need for face-to-face experience for knowledge construction.
